Mount Vernon, NY — Partnering with DGC Capital Contracting Corp., Donna Karan New York has opened two “shop in shops” at Bloomingdale’s and Lord & Taylor stores in Manhattan.

Mount Vernon, NY — DGC Capital Contracting Corporation (DGC), one of the Northeast’s premier construction, general contracting and carpentry firms, has been tapped for two prestigious projects in the apparel retail market: two “shop in shops” for Donna Karan in Manhattan — one in Bloomingdale’s on 59th St. and Lexington and the other in Lord & Taylor on 38th St. and 5th Ave. Both projects are remodels of existing stores.

Renovations on both Donna Karan New York stores, which are approximately 2,500 square feet each, began on August 18 and were completed just in time for Fashion’s Night Out in New York on September 8. Inside the Bloomingdale’s Donna Karan store, DGC custom-built a 40-foot ceiling mirror, which is the only one of its kind in Bloomingdale’s.

“We are honored to be working with such a prominent apparel retailer,” says Gerry Ryan, CEO, DGC Capital Contracting Corporation. “We are excited to put the finishing touches on the stores and further enhance our solid track record in the retail remodeling and retrofit sector.”

DGC, one of the few area contractors to self-perform both its carpentry and labor, also has extensive experience in the retail industry, working for a wealth of leading companies, including: Gap, Starbucks, JPMorgan Chase, JCPenney, TJ Maxx Stores, Century 21 Department Stores, Ann Taylor and 24 Hour Fitness.
