Chicago — Lemont, Ill.-based Englewood Construction, one of the country’s leading retail construction firms, has hired Lance Beeler as manager of pre-construction services.

Chicago — Lemont, Ill.-based Englewood Construction, one of the country’s leading retail construction firms, has hired Lance Beeler, formerly of Leopardo Companies, as manager of pre-construction services.

“The past few years have been challenging for many construction companies, and most firms have had to cut back on staffing since the recession started,” said Bill Di Santo, president of Englewood Construction. “However, we are fortunate that our book of business remained solid and we haven’t had to let anyone go. In fact, we saw a need to add new faces to our team as business picked up toward the end of last year, especially our estimating work. Lance’s experience in estimating is going to put us in a great position for continued growth in 2012.”

According to Di Santo, as manager of pre-construction services, Beeler will organize and lead all estimating efforts for the company.

englewood“Looking ahead this year, we expect to see increased opportunities in new markets, tempered by competitiveness seen at pre-recession levels,” Beeler says.

Beeler brings more than 15 years of experience in pre-construction estimating and project management to his new position. From 2003 to 2011 he served as a pre-construction manager at Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based Leopardo Companies where his main responsibilities were leading estimating efforts across the market spectrum on hard/competitive bids and negotiated work.
