FRONTIER Building Breaks Ground on its First Krispy Kreme

by Katie Lee

Miami — FRONTIER Building has broken ground on a brand-new Krispy Kreme Doughnuts located at 530 Northeast 167 St. in Miami. The iconic doughnut shop’s new location is being built from the ground up next door to the existing location, which will remain open throughout construction.

The experience-focused national general construction, construction management and design-build contractor will be providing its services to oversee the development of the 3,576-square-foot-project, located on a 24,960-square-foot lot. The new outpost will include a drive-thru and 11 parking spaces.

“I appreciate being able to work with Krispy Kreme on this project,” says Andrew Goggin, director of construction at FRONTIER Building. “This is the first project we’ve done for the national brand and we’re thrilled to provide them with FRONTIER experience.”

Plans are in place for the older Krispy Kreme store to be replaced by a Wawa gas and convenience store.

The new Krispy Kreme is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2019. This is FRONTIER Building’s first Krispy Kreme project.
