Heritage Foodservice Hires EVP Commercial Business Development

Fort Wayne, Ind. — Heritage Foodservice Group has added Tom Szafranski as executive vice president, commercial business development, effective immediately. He comes to Heritage after 32 years with Hobart Corporation.

Szafranski will be directing the chain, service agent and international business units for Heritage Parts US. He will also orchestrate OEM engagement initiatives.

Over the course of his 32-year career with Hobart, Szafranski progressed through a series of positions including national account rep – food retail; sales development manager – food machines division; national accounts manager – business & institutions; director of national accounts; VP strategic accounts; and VP sales – Hobart foodservice division. Most recently, Szafranski served as president, ITW Food Equipment Group Commercial Sales – North America. In that capacity, he drove a $765 million commercial operation responsible for all sales of the Hobart, Traulsen, Vulcan, Wolf, Baxter and Berkel branded products in the United States, as well as those of Hobart’s Canadian operations.
