J. C. Penney Company Names New Executive Vice President

Plano, TX — J. C. Penney Company, Inc. has hired a new executive vice president of The Square, the retailer’s new in-store gathering place.

 

Plano, TX — J. C. Penney Company, Inc. has named Laurie Beja Miller as executive vice president, The Square. She will lead the company’s efforts to execute its new center core strategy that will serve as a gathering place with ongoing attractions and services. Miller brings more than 2 decades of experience at leading retailers and iconic brands, including Nike, Apple and Disney. She will join jcpenney on April 1.

Prior to serving as senior vice president and general manager Americas at Bare Escentuals, Miller spent 3 years at Nike as general manager, vice president Nike Retail U.S. She was previously vice president, product development and merchandising at Hallmark Cards, a role she took after serving as vice president, special projects at Apple, senior vice president and general merchandise manager at Pottery Barn, and executive vice president at Disney Stores, focused on product development.
