Cincinnati — The Kroger Co. has expanded its partnership with ECOtality to provide electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at 125 of its supermarkets.
Cincinnati — The Kroger Co. has expanded its partnership with ECOtality to provide electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at 125 of its supermarkets. Kroger will invest $1.5 million to install 200 Blink quick charge stations and 25 Blink DC Fast Chargers at stores in the Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Diego markets.
Kroger already has 74 charging stations installed at stores in Oregon, Texas and Washington. The grocer is completing the upgrades as part of The EV Project, a public-private partnership funded partly by the U.S. Department of Energy that seeks to expand the nation’s EV infrastructure. ECOtality is the project manager of The EV Project.
