Cincinnati — The nearly 5,000-square-foot LED display provides one of the largest display surfaces in the U.S.

Cincinnati — The city of Cleveland has opened its new luxury urban resort, The 9. The historic Ameritrust complex has been transformed into a vibrant, high-end mixed-use building featuring a 156-room luxury hotel, 194 luxury apartments, and Heinen’s Market, featuring gourmet groceries.

The GEIS Companies, a premier design/build company headquartered in Streetsboro, Ohio, has spearheaded this effort. Working with Cleveland-based Sandvick Architects, the team has worked diligently to preserve the iconic architectural features of the buildings while infusing them with contemporary technology and modern chic design concepts.

Among the dynamic features of the new structure are colorful LED video displays on the north and south ends of the parking garage exterior. The two 16mm video displays, manufactured by Cincinnati-based LSI Industries, measure approximately 48 feet by 49 feet and contain almost 900,000 LED chips each.

“It has been great working with Geis Companies on such a prestigious project in the city of Cleveland,” says Scott Ready, president of LSI Industries. “We were very happy to be able to offer the Geis Companies high quality, high performance product in a unique corner wrap installation built right here in Ohio. The nearly 5,000-square-foot LED display provides one of the largest display surfaces in the U.S.”

LSI is a U.S. manufacturer with marketing/sales efforts throughout the world. LSI’s major markets are the commercial/industrial lighting, petroleum/convenience store, multi-site retail (including automobile dealerships, restaurants and national retail accounts), sports and entertainment markets.
