Westbrook, ME — Olympia Sports, a regional sporting goods retailer, opened its 200th store in Dunkirk, Md., on November 18th, marking its second entry into the Mid-Atlantic market.
Westbrook, ME — Olympia Sports, a regional sporting goods retailer, has recently opened its 200th store in Dunkirk, Md., at Dunkirk Gateway Shopping Center. The November 18th grand opening marks Olympia’s second entry into the Mid-Atlantic market. The company also has four more confirmed openings before the 2011 holiday shopping season, bringing the total store count to 204.
“200 stores is quite an achievement. None of this would be possible without the team atmosphere that is present at Olympia Sports. Everybody did their part and should be proud of a job well done,” says Ed Manganello, president of Olympia Sports. “That said, there is no slowing down. We will continue to expand in our current footprint as well as throughout the Mid-Atlantic states. Our studies have shown a real opportunity for expansion throughout this new market, and we plan to aggressively pursue those opportunities.”
