Arby’s Plans 138 New Restaurants; Adds To Executive Team

Atlanta — Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. (ARG), parent company of the franchisor of the Arby’s brand, has signed several recent franchise development agreements beginning late fourth quarter 2015 through March 15, 2016 for the development of 138 new restaurants. This news follows a strong year of development for Arby’s in 2015 with 61 new restaurant openings and 179 remodels system-wide.

Kroger Names Group Vice President of Retail Operations

Cincinnati — The Kroger Co. has promoted Mary Ellen Adcock to serve as Kroger's group vice president of retail operations, effective May 16, 2016. She succeeds Marnette Perry, whose retirement was previously announced. Adcock currently serves as vice president of operations for Kroger's Columbus division.

FOCUS Brands Inc. Names Chief Financial Officer

Bob’s Discount Furniture Promotes President & CEO

Manchester, Conn. — Bob’s Discount Furniture has promoted Michael Skirvin to president and chief executive officer of the company. He has served as president and chief operating officer since 2011. Skirvin succeeds Ted English, who has overseen the company’s expansion from 27 stores in seven states when he joined in 2006 to 69 stores in 12 states across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest today. English, who has been elevated to executive chairman, will remain actively involved with the company.

Target Names EVP, Chief Supply Chain & Logistics Officer

Minneapolis — Target Corporation has hired Arthur Valdez as executive vice president, chief supply chain and logistics officer. Valdez will lead Target’s supply chain transformation including planning, distribution and transportation. He will report to Target’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, John Mulligan.

Federal Signal Appoints SVP, Safety and Security Systems Group

Brady to the position of senior vice president of its Safety and Security Systems Group (SSG). In this new role, Brady will lead all aspects of SSG's businesses based in North America. Carrabba's Italian Grill Names New President

Tampa, Fla. — Bloomin' Brands, Inc. has appointed Mike Kappitt as president of Carrabba's Italian Grill. In this role, Kappitt will be responsible for leading the operations and development of the Carrabba's brand in the United States. Kappitt most recently served as the senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Bloomin' Brands.
