Wallingford, Conn.— John Merkin has been named COO of Edible® International (Edible®). In this role, he will oversee all franchise operations for the world's largest franchisor of shops offering creatively designed fresh cut fruit arrangements. Merkin will also oversee Edible's® supply chain organization.

Chicken Express Selects Revention as a Preferred POS Provider

Chicken Express was established in 1988 by Richard and Nancy Stuart's Stuart Group Inc. The first restaurant opened in 1988 in Benbrook, Texas.

Chipotle Sets New Goal to Drive Environmental Sustainability

Denver — Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to divert half of all of its restaurant waste from landfills by 2020. Since 2015, Chipotle has made significant strides towards reducing the amount of food and packaging waste bound for landfills, increasing its diversion rate from 31% that year to 40% in 2017. Now the company embarks on achieving a 50% diversion rate.

Sbarro Selects Revention as POS Provider for Off-Mall Expansion

Freddy’s Opens 300th Restaurant

Indianapolis — Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened in south Indianapolis on March 13, 2018. The opening marks the 300th location for Freddy’s. Freddy Simon, the 93-year-old company namesake and World War II veteran, was scheduled to be in attendance on opening day.
