Toronto — Staples Canada has named Mary Sagat its new president, effective September 7, 2016. During her 19 years with the company, Sagat has served as senior vice president of finance and, most recently, as senior vice president of sales and operations. She will be reporting directly to Steve Matyas, president of North American retail.

Reporting directly to Sagat will be Pete Gibel, senior vice president of merchandising; Gogi Grewal, senior vice president of business services; Craig Taylor, senior vice president of e-commerce and marketing; and the soon-to-be appointed senior vice president of sales and operations.
