Springfield, NJ — Luxury watch leader TAG Heuer plans to open its second North American flagship boutique this month in Aventura Mall’s new luxury wing.

Designed by architect Eric Carlson, the 800-square-foot Aventura boutique captures the world of TAG Heuer with an ambiance that celebrates the brand’s 151-year-old legacy. The overall aesthetic marries sophisticated glamour and timeless interior design with customized wall displays made of dark zebrawood, finely hand-brushed aluminum, glass and cream leather.

Carlson — who has collaborated with TAG Heuer on several projects, including its London, Paris and Las Vegas-based flagships — curated original furnishings to set the tone of the design, while paying close attention to lighting elements. A series of bronzed, brushed aluminum vertical slats superimpose TAG Heuer’s shield logo, which is back-lit with LED lights.

Worldwide, TAG Heuer has more than 100 freestanding boutiques in major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Shanghai, Prague, Kuala Lampur and Paris.

Founded in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, in 1860 by Edouard Heuer, TAG Heuer has set many major milestones of high-end watchmaking, especially in the field of chronographs and ultimate precision.

Aventura Mall, located in Aventura, Fla., is South Florida’s largest super-regional mall. Anchored by Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and Macy’s, the center features 300 specialty stores, including Louis Vuitton, TAG Heuer, Burberry, Michael Kors and Hugo Boss. Aventura Mall is owned and managed by Turnberry Associates.
