The InSite Group Upgrades Copper Cellar Restaurant With LED Lighting

Knoxville, Tenn. — The InSite Group has been retained by The Copper Cellar Corporation for the comprehensive project management and implementation of converting all exterior lighting into energy saving LED technology for the company’s newest Calhoun’s Restaurant located in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

In addition to other upgrades at the waterfront restaurant, Copper Cellar is investing in the latest energy-saving technology by converting its parking lot lighting to LED. LEDs consume less electricity than legacy lighting systems, are practically maintenance-free, and even reduce CO2 emissions. With the LED lighting upgrade, Copper Cellar anticipates significant savings in energy and maintenance costs annually.

The InSite Group is coordinating all aspects of the conversion, including removal of the old light fixtures and installation of the new LED fixtures. Copper Cellar has indicated that it may roll out the technology to some of the remaining properties in its portfolio.

“Through a rigorous specification process we decided to employ Hubbell Lighting’s ASL series fixtures,” says Ed Britton, CEO at The InSite Group. The ASL series contains 8 to 24 high output LEDs to accommodate various lighting requirements.

For over 20 years The InSite Group has employed a team of veteran project managers to complete rollouts throughout North America for lighting, signage, displays, POP, kiosks, and décor.

The original Calhoun’s BBQ Barn opened in October of 1983 on Kingston Pike in Knoxville. Locally owned, Calhoun’s is part of the Copper Cellar family of 17 restaurants and two catering facilities spread across East Tennessee including Cherokee Grill, Chesapeake’s, Smoky Mountain Brewery and Calhoun’s Banquet/Copper Cellar Catering.
