7-Eleven Donates $150,000 and Free Water to Hurricane Irma Victims

Irving, Texas — As Hurricane Irma approached the southeastern U.S. on September 11, 2017, 7‑Eleven® pledged a $150,000 donation to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Irma disaster relief efforts.

With more than 800 stores in Florida, 7-Eleven is also giving back to the community it serves: it donated 4,800 cases of 7-Select® purified water for free distribution at three Florida locations on September 9 in Orlando, Port Orange and Oldsmar, Fla.

In addition, 7-Eleven is encouraging customers to support the American Red Cross Hurricane Irma relief efforts. Customers can add $1.00 to their in-store purchase at participating 7-Eleven® stores nationwide or donate online at https://www.7-eleven.com/hurricane-relief.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been or who may soon be affected by Hurricane Irma, including our 7-Eleven employees and customers,” says Chris Tanco, chief operating officer. “We encourage all who can to support them by donating money or volunteering time to relief efforts.”

7-Eleven provided similar support in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, which devastated parts of Texas and Louisiana last week, donating $150,000 to the American Red Cross, water, food and supplies to shelters and over 1,200 care packages to employees impacted by the storm.
