Manchester, Conn. — Bob’s Discount Furniture has opened four new stores in the Greater Pittsburgh and Baltimore areas. Additionally, Bob’s has relocated its Seabrook, N.H., store. After opening more than 12 new stores in the past 2 years, Bob’s will now have 61 stores in 11 states, with additional expansion planned for 2016.
“Expansion for us doesn’t just mean new stores, it also means we’re expanding our philanthropic efforts,” says Bob Kaufman, president emeritus and co-founder of Bob’s Discount Furniture. “As we grow, we intend to continue supporting schools, charities and other worthwhile causes in each of the communities where our stores are located.”
In Columbia, Md., a new 28,000-square-foot store will be managed by Jonathan Day. In Cockeysville, Md., a 30,00-square-foot store will be managed by Jeff Golden. In Robinson Township, Pa., just outside of Pittsburgh, a 23,683-square-foot store will be managed by Mickey Grabner. In Monroeville, Pa., a two-floor, 34,772-square-foot store will be managed by Norm Welsh/ The Monroeville store’s grand opening on May 21st featured an appearance by John Weldon, senior vice president of store operations at Bob’s Discount Furniture. In Seabrook, N.H., Bob’s will re-open at its new location at 570 Lafayette Rd. The new two-floor, 32,772-square-foot store will be managed by Dave Blier.
