New York City — Casper, the online sleep retailer that has upended the mattress industry, continues to reinvent the way Americans shop for sleep products with the launch of a multi-city retail expansion in over a dozen locations across North America. This marks Casper’s first significant investment in a company-owned retail presence across the U.S.
The new shops will showcase Casper’s sleep offerings, including the company’s latest innovation, the Casper Wave. For the first time, consumers will be able to experience the Casper Wave mattress in-person, in addition to sleep products including the pillow, sheets, and its original, award-winning mattress. All items will be available for purchase at each retail location.
“The demand to experience our products in-person has continued to grow exponentially,” says Philip Krim, Casper co-founder and CEO. “Casper retail environments allow us to seamlessly traverse online and offline, which we believe is paramount to an exceptional customer journey.”
The pop-up shops are scheduled to launch in October 2017 and will be open through spring of 2018 in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and other major metropolitan areas. Pictured here is a Casper pop-up shop in London.
Casper was created to reimagine sleep from the ground up. Launching online-only with its eponymous mattress in 2014, Casper has since expanded to a full line of sleep offerings.
Making its debut in August 2017, the Casper Wave is the first mattress that responds to body geometry using patent-pending, finely tuned contouring zones and polymer support channels that form to the body’s natural shape.
