Peabody, Mass. — Douglas Blake was a founder of Clean World, Inc., which, along with sister company Res-Stone, were recently acquired by Kaloutas Painting.
Peabody, Mass. — Kaloutas Painting, a commercial painting company serving clients throughout New England since 1987, has appointed Douglas Blake to the newly created position of director of the industrial flooring division.
This appointment follows Kaloutas’ acquisition of Ipswich, Mass.-based sister companies Clean World Floors and Res-Stone Industrial Flooring. Blake, who had an ownership stake in the companies, has joined the Kaloutas Painting team and will lead the effort for the commercial painting company to expand its scope of services into the commercial flooring arena.
Blake, who brings more than 14 years of industry experience to his new role, was a founder of Clean World, Inc., which grew from a commercial cleaning enterprise into a leading provider of epoxy flooring for commercial and industrial applications throughout the Northeast. The second company, Res-Stone, was launched several years ago to complement Clean World. The Clean World/Res-Stone operations and headquarters have been relocated from Ipswich to the Kaloutas campus in Peabody. All of the company’s 11 employees will remain with the company, which will for the present term uses the name “Res-Stone” with the addition “A Kaloutas Company.”
Blake and Jim Kaloutas, president/CEO of Kaloutas Painting, have known each other for many years. “We welcome Doug to the Kaloutas team,” Kaloutas says. “We have worked with him and with the Res-Stone team many times over the years. He is a well-respected industry veteran, and we look forward to working with him and having him help us as we grow both this new division and our company.”
Industries served by Kaloutas Painting include restaurants, retail stores, automobile dealers, aircraft manufacturers, theatres, and educational institutions, among others.
