New York City — Natural French beauty retailer L’OCCITANE en Provence opened its fifth flagship store on May 16, 2016 in Disney Springs, a new waterfront district for shopping, dining and entertainment at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The new 2,549-square-foot boutique is located in the Town Center neighborhood of Disney Springs, joining a long list of other high-profile locations opening at the property this year as it continues the largest expansion in its history.
“We are so excited to officially open our doors at Disney Springs,” says David McConnachie, senior vice president of retail development at L’OCCITANE Inc. “L’OCCITANE en Provence strives to share the beauty of Provence, France, with the rest of the world, and this new store offers us a great opportunity to serve as a go-to beauty destination for the many local shoppers and vacationing guests who visit Walt Disney World Resort.”
The store’s layout is divided into four key areas for guests to shop: Harvest Fragrances, Distillation, Soap Artistry and Texture Bar. Within each area lives a personalized experience from fragrance bottle engraving and customized soap stamping to real-time skincare consultations. New digital touch-points include iPads, convenient mobile charging stations and an interactive photo booth that digitally transports shoppers to the emblematic lavender fields the South of France is known for.
Founded by Olivier Baussan over 35 years ago, L’OCCITANE en Provence captures the true art de vivre of Provence, offering a sensorial immersion in the natural beauty, fragrance and lifestyle of the south of France. L’OCCITANE en Provence products are available at usa.loccitane.com and in more than 200 boutiques throughout the U.S.
Disney Springs is a one-of-a-kind Disney experience, treating guests by day and night to great dining, shopping and entertainment amid open-air promenades, flowing springs and waterfront charm. Nearing completion in 2016, Disney Springs has been undergoing the largest expansion in its history to double the number of shops, restaurants and other venues for guests to explore, which will result in more than 150 establishments. Disney Springs is part of Walt Disney World Resort, located in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
