Davenport, Iowa — Von Maur Department Store plans to open a 165,000-square-foot store at the Mall of Georgia in Buford, Ga. Scheduled to open in fall 2016, the store will be the company’s third location in Georgia.
Located at the mall’s former Nordstrom location, the two-level Von Maur store will receive a complete renovation beginning in summer 2015 in order to feature the company’s signature residential ambiance, complete with antiques, original artwork, open floor plan and music from the store’s grand piano.
The store opening is part of the company’s targeted national growth strategy. After expanding beyond its Midwestern footprint in 2011 with the opening of its first Atlanta location, Von Maur has since grown in additional new states including New York, Alabama and most recently in Oklahoma with the opening of its newest location in October 2014.
