Warstic Brand To Open First Flagship Store

Dallas — Dallas-based sporting goods company Warstic has acquired a building on Main Street in Dallas and plans to open a hand turned wood baseball bat manufacturing facility, flagship retail location and headquarters in Dallas’ Deep Ellum neighborhood. Scheduled to open in early 2018, the location will serve as the brand’s first brick-and-mortar retail location for the fast-growing company, co-owned by Third Man Records’ Jack White, Detroit Tigers’ Ian Kinsler and OneFastBuffalo’s Ben Jenkins.

“The idea is really about custom design service for our customers, and about celebrating the craft of turning and finishing wood bats,” says Jenkins. “We want a place where we can truly interact with our customers and bring them into the process and creation of our products.”

Plans for the headquarters include a warehouse, retail store with a state-of-the-art bat-fitting room, wood and metal bat design studio and finishing lab, full batting cage and the Players’ Bar & Diner.

“Customers will be fitted for a Warstic baseball bat just like being fitted for a custom suit, Jenkins explains. “They’ll be able to choose the personalized aesthetics of their ‘stic’ while watching it come to life by our master bat craftsman.”

Warstic Sports Inc. is an independent sporting goods company that creates uniquely designed metal and wood baseball bats, gear and apparel for baseball players. Warstic was founded by former professional baseball player turned designer Ben Jenkins. In 2017 Jenkins partnered with investors Jack White of Third Man Records and Ian Kinsler of the Detroit Tigers.
