Yankee Candle Installs New LED Lighting

Satellite Beach, FLYankee Candle Company recently installed Lighting Science Group’s high-performance and ultra-efficient LED bulbs in its stores all across New England.

Satellite Beach, FL—Lighting Science Group’s high-performance and ultra-efficient LED bulbs are now lighting up Yankee Candle stores all across New England. The ENERGY STAR approved DEFINITY PAR 20, PAR 30, PAR 38 and MR 16 LED bulbs installed in stores are approximately 80% more efficient than the halogen bulbs that they replace and are fully dimmable. Unlike compact fluorescent lamps (or CFLs), the company’s LED bulbs contain no mercury, are completely recyclable, are “instant on,” and offer outstanding light quality.  Yankee Candle received rebates from National Grid and Western Mass Electric Company through the Mass Save program.  Energy efficiency rebates were also received from other electric utility companies throughout New England.

“The new LED lighting from Lighting Science Group is a dramatic improvement in terms of efficiency, longevity and output over what we previously had installed,” said Jeff Lubarsky, energy and retail facilities manager of Yankee Candle. “Lighting Science Group’s LED bulbs deliver excellent light distribution, brilliant color, optimum performance, and are ultra-efficient in meeting our energy, environmental and design needs.”
