Dog Haus Opens First International Restaurant

Pasadena, Calif. — Dog Haus has officially entered Mexico with the opening of its first restaurant in Mérida, Yucatán, marking its first permanent international restaurant. The restaurant is the first of three Dog Haus locations planned for Mexico in 2026.

The Mérida restaurant welcomed its first guests in June. The opening represents a major milestone for the Pasadena, Calif.-based brand and also marks the first step in Dog Haus’ expansion across Mexico. Additional restaurants are planned for Mexico City and Tijuana before the end of 2026, with Monterrey and Riviera Maya expected to follow as the brand continues building its presence throughout the country.

“Entering Mexico is an important milestone for Dog Haus as we continue expanding into markets that value premium ingredients, a chef-driven menu and an elevated sports bar experience,” says Erik Hartung, executive vice president of Dog Haus. “Mérida is the first step in our long term growth strategy, and we’re excited to introduce our innovative culinary approach to communities across Mexico.”

The Mérida restaurant showcases Dog Haus’ expanded menu and new design. New design features include stadium-style seating centered around a large-format video wall, a family arcade and a dedicated children’s play area, complemented by a full-service bar and indoor and outdoor seating. The design reflects Dog Haus’ vision of creating places where guests can connect over great food, drinks and shared experiences.

Since launching in 2010, Dog Haus has built a fiercely loyal nationwide following. Founded by longtime friends Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz and André Vener, the brand got its start in Pasadena, Calif., and has since grown to more than 50 locations across the United States. The brand expanded internationally in June 2026 with the opening of its first restaurant in Mexico.
