Ross Solar Completes Third of Four Solar Installations for Jetro Restaurant Depot

Valhalla, N.Y. — Ross Solar, a Con Edison Solutions company, has completed the third of four solar installations for Jetro Restaurant Depot at Jetro’s Port Chester facility in Westchester County, N.Y.

Comprised of 3,392 high-efficiency SunPower E-series solar panels, the 1.1-megawatt solar power installation at Port Chester is expected to generate 1,274,975 kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year and offset 940 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually, representing a reduction in CO2 emissions equivalent to 2,252,321 miles driven by an average passenger vehicle, according to estimates provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Port Chester is the third in a series of four Ross Solar installations for Jetro, with previous projects completed at Jetro’s Bronx and College Point facilities, and another currently under construction in Maspeth, N.Y. Upon the completion of the Maspeth project, the aggregate of all four projects will equal 4.2 megawatts of solar power.

“Solar is an important component of our long term strategy, helping us to reduce operational expenses and remain competitive,” says Jetro COO Peter Claro. “Ross Solar’s commitment to quality, customer service, and full transparency makes them an ideal partner for us.”

“We applaud Jetro’s continued commitment to investing in renewable energy. We appreciate the trust and confidence they have placed in us over the years and we look forward to continuing to work with Jetro to meet their energy and sustainability goals,” says Josh Ross of Ross Solar/Con Edison Solutions.
