ShopOne REIT Promotes COO and SVP, Property Management

New York — ShopOne Centers REIT Inc., a leading owner, operator and manager of high-quality grocery-anchored shopping centers, has promoted Bob Dake to chief operating officer and Tom Shine to senior vice president, property management. Dake previously served as ShopOne’s executive vice president of leasing, while Shine was the company’s vice president, property management.

“The promotions of Bob and Tom are well deserved, as they have played critical roles in advancing the growth of our business and strengthening our relationships with flagship national and local retailers,” says John Roche, chief executive officer and chief financial officer of ShopOne. “As the retail sector continues to undergo a reinvention, their extensive experience and deep industry connections will be assets in helping our shopping centers remain the preferred destinations for both legacy brands and emerging retailers.”

Dake has been with ShopOne since 2018. In his previous role, he was responsible for leading leasing and merchandising strategies. Prior to joining ShopOne, he served as vice president of national accounts at Brixmor, where he managed relationships and leasing activities with major retailers across the firm’s national portfolio.

Shine, who possesses over 32 years of experience in commercial real estate, joined ShopOne at its founding in 2017, after serving as director of property management at Devonshire REIT since 2014. He began his career as the operations manager for a single mall and has held operations positions at every level including regional director for Kimco Realty. Over the course of his career, Shine has managed properties throughout the United States encompassing over 19 million square feet.

In addition to the promotions of Dake and Shine, ShopOne also promoted three additional team members to further strengthen its construction, finance and property management teams. Jack Ventimiglia, who joined ShopOne in 2017, was named vice president, construction; Michael Price, who has been with the company since 2018, is now vice president, finance; and, Mary Garcia, who came to ShopOne in 2019, was appointed assistant property manager.
