Restaurant Technologies Adds More than 1,500 New Grocery and C-Store Customers in 2018

Minneapolis — Restaurant Technologies, the leading provider of cooking oil management and exhaust cleaning solutions, is providing its Total Oil Management solution to more than 1,500 new grocery and convenience store (c-store) units since the start of 2018, bringing the company’s total customer roster of foodservice providers across a range of segments to more than 27,000 locations nationwide.

“Helping retailers in the grocery and convenience store space has been an increased focused for us at Restaurant Technologies, and our rapid growth in 2018 is demonstrative of our ability to deliver effective oil management solutions to these growing segments,” says Jim English, director of national accounts at Restaurant Technologies. “As consumers continue to demand hot, prepared foods more quickly and conveniently, they’re looking outside of traditional restaurants to meet those needs. Having a process in place to run kitchens as efficiently and safely as traditional restaurant kitchens is increasingly important for grocers and c-store operators.”

As grocery and c-stores continue to expand their foodservice operations, executing on labor productivity and mitigating risk is crucial to their success. Current oil management and disposal practices are often antiquated, laborious and unsafe, increasing the need for an automated closed-loop system supplemented by visibility tools to help drive consistency and efficiency.

Restaurant Technologies eliminates these problems for customers with its automated Total Oil Management solution, which manages the entire cooking oil process — from ordering, delivery and storage of fresh cooking oil, to the handling, disposal and recycling of used cooking oil.

“Restaurant Technologies offers a comprehensive approach to oil management where retail operators don’t need to worry about oil management,” says English. “Not only do they know they’re receiving fresh oil that makes prepared foods as delicious as what consumers would find in a restaurant, but it’s eliminating time and risk for employees, and helping make their jobs easier so time can be spent on customer facing activities versus tasks in the back of the kitchen.”

Restaurant Technologies’ new Total Oil Management customers include such recognizable names as Circle K, Jiffy Trip, Corner Market, Speedway Café, Piggly Wiggly, Weis Markets, Stater Bros, Mariano’s and Kroger, adding to an already robust list including Hy-Vee, Wegmans, Ahold, Giant Eagle, Albertsons, Krispy Krunchy Chicken and hundreds of others.

Headquartered in Mendota Heights, Minn., Restaurant Technologies is a privately held company, currently operates 41 depots and has more than 1,000 employees serving customers across the United States. For more information, visit www.rti-inc.com.
