Atlanta — Schlotzsky’s has unveiled two new prototypes that will put its drive-thru front and center and enhance speed of service for delivery, to-go and catering.
While driving off-premise sales has been underway for Schlotzsky’s for some time, it’s now become an even bigger priority. During the pandemic, 35% of Schlotzsky’s sales were driven by off-premise and were a major part of the brand’s rapid recovery.
Schlotzsky’s, coming up on its 50th anniversary, has heavily invested in real estate innovation over the past several years with the overall goal of providing franchisees with the flexibility to develop the restaurant footprint best suited for their individual markets. Going forward, Schlotzsky’s anticipates 99% of their restaurants adapting to a drive-thru.
The brand will look to eclipse 400 locations in the next 3 years and an initial 4-unit prototype deal has already been signed with a location to open in mid-2021 in Arkansas which will be owned by existing multi-unit franchisee, JJ Ramsey, who owns locations throughout Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas.
