Sandy, Utah — Swig, the creator of the dirty soda beverage category, is ramping up its nationwide growth by promoting Todd Smith to president, following his tenure as chief commercial officer, and appointing franchise sales veteran Shannon Swenson as chief, franchise partnerships.

“We’re at a major moment for dirty soda,” says Alex Dunn, CEO of Swig. “People crave playful, personalized drinks, and Swig is here to deliver — coast to coast. Todd’s vision, Shannon’s franchising prowess and the talent of Swig’s leaders and team members alike are the perfect combination to fuel our bold growth and make Swig everyone’s go-to stop for something delicious, unique and totally customizable.”

Todd Smith

As chief commercial officer, Smith led everything from supply chain operations and real estate acquisitions to restaurant construction. He will build atop that leadership as president, driving Swig’s ambitious expansion — from scouting prime locations to building new company-owned stores and partnering with Swenson to launch a robust franchise program across the U.S.

Shannon Swenson

Swenson brings a powerhouse track record in franchise development. Before joining Swig, she helped Dave’s Hot Chicken, as senior vice president of franchise development, scale the brand to 360 locations worldwide, over 1,400 franchise commitments and a billion-dollar valuation. At Swig, she’ll build on the brand’s 124-store foundation.

Swig, Home of the Original Dirty Soda®, is one of the fastest-growing and most successful beverage-focused brands in the country. Founded in 2010, Swig formally introduced the concept of the “dirty soda” to customers, who quickly embraced the brand’s unique drink mixes, blending classic sodas with bold flavors, fresh fruits, purees and creams. Swig has expanded to over 120 locations in 16 states. For more information, visit www.SwigDrinks.com.
