Jersey City, N.J. — Fexa, a leading facilities orchestration platform for multi-site operators, welcomes Josh Jabs as chief technology and product officer. Jabs will lead the product and engineering organization and report to CEO Kurt Smith. The role is new to Fexa.
“When we looked at our recent growth, the size and pace of our business, and our incredible ambition to lead this industry in the AI era, adding a world-class CTPO was an obvious decision,” says Smith. “Josh was distinctive from my first call. He thinks about problems from multiple angles and can zoom into the micro without losing sight of the macro. He has experience solving many of the problems we will face over the next 3 years, knows how to innovate at scale, and has a proven record of coaching and elevating teams to accomplish hard things. Most importantly, this is a decision that will accelerate our AI strategy.”
Jabs brings more than 25 years in enterprise software. He most recently served as chief product and technology officer of Total Expert, and before that as chief technology officer of Calabrio, where he led the company through a period of growth and transformation driven by accelerated SaaS adoption.
Fexa launched three AI products over the past year, and the company is explicit that the next phase is not more summarization.
“AI that summarizes and explains information is useful, but that is not where the value tops out,” Jabs says. “The bigger opportunity is AI grounded in the customer’s rules, roles, workflows and operating context, so it can help move from insight toward action. The winners in this category will connect intelligence and action while preserving the control, transparency and accountability that enterprise customers require.”
Facilities operations are inherently complex. There are different rules, providers, assets, approval paths and operating models across every customer. Jabs says the opportunity is to absorb more of that complexity into the platform so customers do not have to carry it themselves: “Done well, Fexa becomes more powerful while feeling simpler, and customers see the result in better decisions and better control of spend.”
Jabs joined Fexa in September 2026.
