San Jacinto, Calif. — Circle K’s new combo concept will be located in San Jacinto, Calif. The project is expected to be open for business in late 2014.

San Jacinto, Calif. — According to Sharon Paisley, development director at the City of San Jacinto, Calif., Circle K Stores, Inc. has broken ground on its newest prototype in Southern California, a flagship store to consist of a 4,500-square-foot convenience store offering fresh food, a gas station with eight fuel pumps, and a self-serve carwash. Circle K’s new combo concept will be located on 1.24 acres at the northwest corner of Sanderson Avenue and Esplanade Avenue in the City of San Jacinto. The project is expected to be open for business in late 2014.

The new Circle K facility represents Phase I of Esplanade Commons a 90,000-square-foot mixed-use shopping center development planned by Southland Development Company, Inc. of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., and RoBott Land Company of Beverly Hills, Calif.

“We are very pleased that Circle K has selected the City of San Jacinto to debut its new flagship, the first in Southern California,” says City Manager Tim Hults. “This will be the first convenience store and gas station on the west side of San Jacinto. It’s a great project, and the residents are looking forward to having the store in their neighborhood.”

“We are happy that Circle K has selected San Jacinto and our project for this exciting new format,” says John Guell, president and founder of Southland Development Company, Inc., based in San Juan Capistrano. “In working with Circle K through the design and site development process, it was very evident that our choice to work with Circle K was the right one. They bring a very high degree focus on the needs and convenience of their customers. Being the first phase of our project, Circle K has no doubt set the bar for high quality and excitement in retailing.”
