New York City — Beloved British brand Lapland plans to open its first-ever U.S retail concept, Lapland Store, in New York City on Nov. 4, 2026 at 3 West 57th Street — steps from Fifth Avenue and in the heart of Manhattan’s most coveted shopping district. The online store, laplandstore.com, launches this month.
Founded in Britain in 2007 by husband-and-wife team Alison and Michael Battle, a former kindergarten teacher and financial trader, Lapland was born from a belief that childhood is precious and fleeting, and that Christmas deserves to be experienced with extraordinary imagination and care.
Over almost two decades, Lapland has reimagined the traditional Christmas experience, creating an original world around the ‘true home’ for Father Christmas / Santa Claus — with more than 30 characters, stories and traditions.
In recent years, the Store has built a devoted following in Britain, with families making its products part of their own Christmas traditions. Its first collection arrived in the U.S. online only in 2025, with the Christmas Eve Collection selling out in just 6 days.
Spanning approximately 3,800 square feet, the West 57th Street store will feature spectacular floristry, atmospheric lighting and intricate details that will transform the space. Visitors can explore the treasures brought from Lapland, meet the Elves who crafted them, sip authentic Lapland hot chocolate and take a seat in Father Christmas’s chair beneath the magical Elf Hat to discover whether they have made it onto the Good List.
The season runs through the end of the year, when the final chapter in Lapland’s first American Christmas will close, before the doors open again for next year’s story.
Lapland Store is the retail division of Lapland Group. Today, Lapland’s live experiences in Ascot and Manchester, England, take families on a 4.5-hour theatrical journey through the Elven World, brought to life by world-class production, costume and creative teams. Lapland was named the UK’s Best Tourist Attraction in 2022. For more information, visit laplandstore.com.
