The Home Depot Names New EVP Merchandising

Atlanta — In his new role, Ted Decker will be responsible for all aspects of merchandising strategy and operations, reporting to Craig Menear, president – U.S. retail.

 

Atlanta — The Home Depot®, the world’s largest home improvement retailer, has promoted Ted Decker to executive vice president – merchandising, effective August 4, 2014. In his new role, Decker will be responsible for all aspects of merchandising strategy and operations, reporting to Craig Menear, president – U.S. retail.  

Decker is a 14-year veteran of The Home Depot, where he most recently served as senior vice president of retail finance, pricing analytics and assortment planning. 

“Ted’s business acumen and retail experience have enabled him to serve as a broad contributor to our success in the marketplace over the past several years,” says Menear. “His leadership and strategic expertise make him a perfect fit to lead our merchandising team going forward.”  

Prior to joining The Home Depot in 2000, Decker held various positions in strategic planning, business development, finance and treasury at Kimberly-Clark Corp. and Scott Paper Co.

The Home Depot has 2,264 retail stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico.
