Cleveland — ABCO Fire Protection is celebrating the relocation of its southern Kentucky shop into the city of Bowling Green. After 19 years in Smith’s Grove, Ky., Superior Fire & Safety (a division of ABCO) has relocated to 300 Lowe Ave. in the heart of Kentucky’s third-largest city.
Its new full-service shop includes an extinguisher recharge room, CO2 filling capabilities, and a larger office to accommodate the needs of its growing team. The Elizabethtown, Ky., shop will remain at 218-A South Mulberry St.
“The move into Bowling Green allows us to better serve the people of Kentucky and the greater Nashville area,” says Steve DeJohn, president of ABCO Fire. “Our local presence has grown substantially, and this move allows us to be more responsive to the needs of the local market.” DeJohn adds that walk-in fire extinguisher service will also be available at the new location.
The opening celebration will take place on October 6, 2016, just before National Fire Prevention Week.
Established in 1997, Superior Fire & Safety joined the ABCO family in 2014. Its experience with commercial kitchen hood installation was a natural addition to ABCO’s capabilities, and its service area increased ABCO’s self-performing footprint to include all of Kentucky and much of Tennessee. Throughout this area, ABCO now offers fire sprinkler, fire alarm, fire extinguisher, special hazard suppression, restaurant hoods and fire systems, emergency and exit lighting, and fire safety training under the Superior Fire & Safety brand.
