New York City — In a transaction arranged by CBRE, Bambi Baby, a national retailer selling baby furniture, nursery sets, strollers, car seats, cribs, bedding and other related products, has inked a retail lease for its first New York City store at 655 Sixth Ave. The retailer will occupy 900 square feet of prime, ground-floor space and 8,500 square feet in the lower level of the property located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
CBRE represented Bambi Baby in the negotiations. The property owner, United American Land, was represented in-house and by Newmark.
“Bambi Baby wanted to open its first flagship location in New York City, and the historic Ladies Mile District in the heart of Chelsea made perfect sense,” says Jordan Kaplan of CBRE. “We are thrilled we were able to secure this amazing space for our client. It is incredibly located, easily accessible and will be an incredible gain for families in the greater New York City market.”
Bambi Baby has been serving new parents and growing families for more than 49 years and partners with luxury brands including Nuna, UPPAbaby, Cybex, Bugaboo and many more. The company began in 1976 and has since expanded into five brick-and-mortar stores, located in Paramus, N.J.; Middletown, N.J.; Union, N.J.; Melville, N.Y.; and Miami.
