Barnes & Noble Names VP to Lead International Expansion

New York and Luxembourg City — Barnes & Noble, Inc. has appointed Patrick Rouvillois as vice president, managing director – international.

 

New York and Luxembourg City, Luxembourg — Barnes & Noble, Inc. has appointed Patrick Rouvillois as vice president, managing director – international, a new role in which he is responsible for building the NOOK® brand outside the U.S. across the globe. Barnes & Noble plans to offer NOOK products in the UK beginning this fall. Rouvillois is based in Luxembourg and reports to Jamie Iannone, president, Barnes & Noble Digital Products.

Rouvillois joins Barnes & Noble from Carrefour, the No. 2 global retailer with 15,000 stores in 30 countries; as global CMO and head of ecommerce, he oversaw the growth of the Carrefour brand and ecommerce and streamlined commercial and marketing proposals across the group.

“Patrick brings strong leadership to the role, and his vast background in the retail, consulting, telecom and media sectors will be incredibly valuable,” says Iannone.
