Greensboro, N.C. — Biscuitville FRESH SOUTHERN®, a local, family-owned restaurant known for its Southern-style breakfasts and lunches, has hired Kevin Bennett as chief financial officer.

“We’re delighted to welcome Kevin during this period of growth,” says Burney Jennings, chief executive officer of Biscuitville. “His proven expertise and leadership in financial management will be essential to strengthening our internal capabilities, while allowing us to continue expansion in new markets. We look forward to working with him.”

Bennett joins Biscuitville with years of financial leadership experience in multi-unit retail, most recently as director of finance with Circle K Stores and previously as assistant controller with The Pantry. The Pantry was a convenience store retailer with more than 1,500 company-operated stores and 200 quick-service restaurants prior to the acquisition by Circle K.

“I’m excited to join the Biscuitville family,” says Bennett. “The company is strategically growing the brand through market expansion, menu development, and remodeling most of its existing restaurants. I look forward to contributing to Biscuitville’s continued growth and success.”

Headquartered in Greensboro, N.C., Biscuitville FRESH SOUTHERN® was founded in 1966 when owner Maurice Jennings opened two pizza restaurants in Burlington, N.C. After several years, the company added signature, made-from-scratch biscuits to its menu that were so well received, business boomed and the Biscuitville brand evolved. In 2014, the company expanded its lunch menu to include fresh-made sandwiches and sides, now available at all Triad restaurants and rolling out to other restaurants in 2017. Today, Biscuitville operates 54 restaurants in North Carolina and Virginia. For more information, visit www.biscuitville.com.
