St. Louis — Retail 20/20 will provide a platform for reporting point-of-sale transactions and inventory adjustments for the global footwear company.

St. Louis  — Agilence Inc., a provider of cloud-based exception reporting solutions, has been selected by Brown Shoe Co. to deploy the company’s Retail 20/20 technology. Retail 20/20 will be used in place of the footwear company’s legacy exception reporting solution, XBR from Micros.

The next-generation solution will provide Brown Shoe Co. with a platform for reporting point-of-sale transactions, e-commerce, inventory adjustments, financials and customer loyalty.

“We have a vision to combine all of our data into a central reporting application that will give us insight into day-to-day operations so that we can improve top line growth and minimize losses,” says Jon Grander, vice president of asset and revenue management for Brown Shoe Co. “With Agilence’s new Retail 20/20 application, we found a platform that is well positioned to help us achieve our goals.”

Based in St. Louis, Brown Shoe Co. operated more than 1,400 Famous Footwear locations, in addition to www.shoes.com.
