Irving, Texas — 7-Eleven, Inc., the largest convenience retail chain in the world, recently celebrated the opening of its 60,000th store. 7-Eleven® started out as Southland Ice Company in Oak Cliff, Texas, in 1927. In 1946, with stores open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., the name was changed to 7-Eleven. Stores started staying open around the clock in 1971.

Columbus, Ohio — DSW Inc. has signed with Apparel Group to be its exclusive franchise partner in the Middle East. The agreement will expand DSW into Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Oman and with 40 new stores, with the first stores opening in 2017.
Miami — Amicon Construction Management (ACM) is managing the construction of three Rubio’s Coastal Grill locations in South Florida. San Diego-based Rubio’s has more than 200 locations in the southwestern U.S. Rubio’s first South Florida location — also its first on the East Coast — will be located in downtown Miami and is expected to be completed this fall.
New York City — Cole Haan has opened its newest global flagship at Westfield World Trade Center in New York City. Located at the World Trade Center’s Oculus, this marks the first Northeast location to open with the new Cole Haan store design concept, second in North America following Dallas NorthPark.
