Chief Financial Officer of hhgregg Resigns

Indianapolis — Jeremy Aguilar’s resignation is effective Jan. 31, 2014.

Indianapolis — The board of directors of hhgregg Inc. has accepted the resignation of Jeremy Aguilar as the chief financial officer and secretary of the company. Aguilar’s resignation is effective Jan. 31.

“I would like to thank Jeremy for his leadership and many contributions to hhgregg over the past eight years,” says Dennis May, president and CEO of hhgregg. “Jeremy has been an instrumental member of our leadership team and helped support the growth of the Company’s store base as we work toward becoming a national retailer. We are fortunate to be making this transition with a deep and experienced finance team in place.”

The board of directors has appointed Andrew Giesler, senior vice president of finance for the company, as interim chief financial officer. Giesler has held several leadership roles since joining the company in May 2007, including the director of finance and investor relations, and vice president, controller.

Indianapolis-based hhgregg, a specialty retailer of home appliances, televisions, computers, tablets and consumer electronics, currently operates 228 stores in 20 states.
