‘Collared Greens’ Opens All-New Retail Concept in Charleston, S.C.

Charleston, S.C. — The first American-made “green” clothing brand, Collared Greens, is putting down permanent roots on King Street in Charleston, S.C., with a new retail store. Founded in 2008, and with a previous store in Richmond, Va., the brand will be partnering with sister brands Bird Dog Bay, Beau & Tassel, Skiff Dogs and other local craftsmen to house all the best and brightest apparel and accessories brands under one roof, with a focus on American and locally made goods. The new concept officially opens on February 19, 2021.

“My team and I are thrilled about our move to Charleston and the launching of our newest brick-and-mortar store…especially being a bright spot in the retail world during a pandemic,” says Steve Mayer, principal illustrator and designer of Collared Greens. “Being located on King Street with other like-minded brands perfectly captures the spirit of the lifestyle target we strive to fit.”

The store will feature Collared Greens’ three sister brands: Bird Dog Bay, Beau & Tassel and Skiff Dogs. Each offer unique but complementary men’s apparel and accessories that make up the unified King Street Brand Family. Collared Greens remains the flagship brand, and focus of this store, but all are operated by the same management team.

The King Street location sits within the building of the five-star Restoration Hotel. The 1,910-square-foot store has an industrial feeling with 13-foot tin ceilings, hardwood floors and tool and die furnishings.

Thomas Boulware of NAI Charleston, an independent franchise of leading global commercial real estate firm NAI Global, brokered the deal on behalf of Collared Greens. For more information, visit www.naicharleston.com.
