East Rutherford, NJ — Travel retailer Hudson Group has opened the first freestanding Juicy Couture airport store in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

East Rutherford, NJ — Travel retailer Hudson Group, perhaps best known for its Hudson News newsstand brand, has opened the first freestanding Juicy Couture airport store in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The 700-square-foot store, located adjacent to Hudson’s Tumi luggage shop in British Airways Terminal 7, joins Juicy’s existing roster of some 120 mall and street stores and several of airport shop-in-shops. Hudson will operate the JFK store under a licensing agreement with Juicy Couture.

The Juicy Couture lifestyle brand was founded in 1997, and acquired by retail giant Liz Claiborne, Inc. in 2003.

Hudson Group, the largest duty-paid travel retailer in North America, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of international duty-free travel retailer Dufry AG of Basel, Switzerland. Along with dozens of business partners, Hudson operates some 600 Hudson News, Hudson Booksellers, cafes and premier specialty retail shops in 70 airports and transportation terminals in the United States and Canada, and additional newsstands in 11 more countries around the world. The combined Dufry/Hudson entity oversees over 1,100 stores in 41 countries and 148 airports and terminals.
