Salisbury, N.C. — Food Lion plans to open four new stores across the Carolinas in early 2026. Locations include Pontiac, S.C. (opening Jan. 21); Statesville, N.C. (opening Jan. 28); Greensboro, N.C. (opening February 2026); and Simpsonville, S.C. (opening March 2026).

“Each new store strengthens our ability to deliver an easy, fresh and affordable omnichannel grocery shopping experience while supporting the communities where our neighbors live, work and raise their families,” says Greg Finchum, president, Food Lion.

Each new store is designed with an easy-to-shop layout, and offers an expanded assortment, pickup and home delivery through the Food Lion To Go website or app, as well as a modern décor, all of which is inspired by customer feedback. The stores will also feature energy-efficient upgrades including LED lighting, refrigerated cases with doors and CO₂ refrigeration systems designed to reduce Food Lion’s environmental footprint.

Food Lion is an omnichannel grocery retailer with 1,100+ stores throughout 10 Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states. Founded and based in Salisbury, N.C., since 1957, Food Lion is a company of Ahold Delhaize USA, the U.S. division of Zaandam-based Ahold Delhaize. For more information, visit www.foodlion.com.
