Hobby Lobby Extends Reach In California

Rancho Cucamonga, Roseville and Temecula, Calif. — Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust plans three new Hobby Lobby stores in former Mervyn’s locations.

Rancho Cucamonga, Roseville and Temecula, Calif. — Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust, Inc. has signed three leases with top national crafting supply, home décor and gift retailer Hobby Lobby to occupy 227,450 square feet of former Mervyn’s locations in California. The leases are through Inland Western MDS Portfolio LLC, one of the company’s wholly owned subsidiaries,

The three new stores, firsts to their respective markets, include a 76,211-square-foot location in Temecula, a 76,248-square-foot location in Roseville and a 74,991-square-foot location in Rancho Cucamonga. The stores are projected to open fall 2011.

The three Hobby Lobby locations are the second, third and fourth in the state of California, following the opening of the first location in Visalia, Calif. last year. Hobby Lobby is based out of Oklahoma and operates 486 stores in 40 states.
