Atlanta — California-based bohemian lifestyle brand Johnny Was has opened its ninth women’s apparel retail store, and its first in Georgia, at Atlanta’s Phipps Plaza.

After 27 successful years as a Los Angeles-based wholesale manufacturer, founder Eli Levite decided to expand into retail.

“We opened our first store 4 years ago at Santa Monica Place in Los Angeles,” says Levite, “with this latest store, we are excited to bring our signature bohemian sensibility to one of Atlanta’s premier shopping areas and become a favorite shopping destination not only for Atlanta residents, but also for visitors from around the world.”

Incorporating both a vintage inspired aesthetic along with a clean modern finish, Johnny Was’ latest store features an eclectic mix of antique textiles, industrial collectibles and hand crafted furniture.

Atlanta is the second store to include the Johnny Was Silk Lab a unique shop-in-shop retail experience allowing the brand’s Signature Silk Prints to take center stage.
