Korean Street Food Concept, Jaws TPK, to Open First Location in the Eastern U.S.

by Katie Lee

Atlanta — Jaws TPK will be opening at Mall Corners in Duluth, Ga., marking the chain’s first location in the Eastern U.S. The growing international brand, which has brought its Korean street food concept to 250 locations in South Korea, has signed a 1,900-square-foot lease to open in third quarter 2023.

Daniel Yi, vice president for Ackerman Retail, completed the lease on behalf of Jaws TPK. He is representing franchisor Boxete Group in finding additional locations in metro Atlanta.

“This is a great location for Jaws TPK that gives the restaurant access to a highly diverse population in Gwinnett County,” says Yi. “This restaurant concept specializing in popular Korean street food is a huge success in South Korea, and Jaws TPK is looking forward to opening its first restaurant in metro Atlanta.”

Jaws TPK currently has two locations in the U.S.: Los Angeles and Buena Park, Calif.

Mall Corners is a 304,260-square-foot shopping center with 60 retailers and restaurants. It is across from the Gwinnett Place Mall redevelopment planned to include multifamily units, offices and greenspace.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Ackerman & Co. is a privately held, full-service commercial real estate firm. Ackerman Retail is a division of Ackerman & Co. For more information, visit www.ackermanco.com.
