Los Angeles — Lamps Plus, a leading home specialty lighting retailer, has hired Richard Hoalst as chief digital officer in a newly created role. Reporting to CEO Jason Goldberger, Hoalst will lead the transformation of the company’s digital commerce efforts across website, marketing, creative and marketplaces. He joins the company from Guitar Center.
Hoalst joins the company with nearly 30 years of diverse leadership experience overseeing e-commerce, marketing and merchandising teams across iconic brands in a variety of industries. Most recently, he served as executive vice president – chief customer officer at Guitar Center; previously, he was senior vice president non-food categories at HEB and, before that, spent 11 years as vice president/general manager, e-commerce at Nike.
“Rich is a forward-thinking leader who has been at the forefront of e-commerce and marketing for some of today’s top brands,” says Goldberger. “His vast understanding of the digital world allows him the opportunity to develop unique strategies that will expedite Lamps Plus’ growth trajectory with an e-commerce first mindset.”
Hoalst will join the Lamps Plus executive leadership team that has been built out over the past year, under Goldberger’s direction.
