Henderson, Nev. — Potbelly Sandwich Shop is opening its first Nevada location in Henderson on Dec. 11. The shop is located in the Shoppes on the Parkway development near the intersection of St. Rose Parkway and Amigo Street, which is becoming a hot spot for new restaurants and retail stores.
The Potbelly Henderson location is the first shop in a franchise development agreement that will bring 10 locations to the Las Vegas market. Local restaurant operations expert and vice president of Veritasfaythe, Gregg Kocenko, has been integral in the development of the Henderson location. He brings significant experience in restaurants, working with several top brands including Tropical Smoothie Cafe, QDOBA Mexican Eats and Dragon Tiger Noodle Company.
“Our team is so excited to open Nevada’s first Potbelly location in Henderson!” says Kocenko. “We’re ready for our neighbors to fall in love with the delicious Potbelly menu including sandwiches, soups, salads, our famous hand-dipped shakes, cookies and more.”
The Potbelly Henderson location will follow CDC guidelines and will be taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of its customers and employees. Precautions include requiring employees to wear face masks and gloves at all times (gloves to be worn at all times by drivers and curbside employees; in-store employees must wash hands and change gloves every 60 minutes while working with cash or anytime they leave their station), employee temperature checks, regular sanitation of the POS systems and phone screens, cleaning tables after each use (employees to place a note on the table so customers know when a table has been sanitized), floor decals that show customers how to social distance while in line, and plexiglass barriers at the cashier’s station and along the line.
