Puptqe to Open First Georgia Location in Alpharetta Area

by Katie Lee

Alpharetta, Ga. — Puptqe, an award-winning pet retailer, is expanding into Georgia with its first location planned for the Alpharetta area. The new store will feature Puptqe’s dog boutique along with its membership, private parties, community gatherings and interactive activities for dogs and their owners.

“Puptqe was built around celebrating the relationship we have with our dogs and the memories we create with them,” says Courtney Honda, president and co-founder of Puptqe.

The new location will introduce Puptqe to the Georgia market and will be locally operated.

Puptqe opened its first location in Southern California in 2023 and has since developed a membership community nationwide. The brand brings together retail, events, membership and social experiences under one roof, giving local dog owners a place to gather and build connections within their community. Additional locations will be opening soon in California (Orange County, San Diego, Los Angeles, Culver City, Long Beach) as well as Texas (The Woodlands).

“A Puptqe location should feel like it belongs to the community it serves,” says Slava Borisov, CEO and co-founder of Puptqe. “Our Alpharetta franchisees share that vision. They’ll be able to bring their own local perspective to the business while continuing the community, hospitality and experiences that define Puptqe.”

Puptqe is an experiential dog boutique and membership community founded in 2023. The company was recognized as 2025 Pet Retailer of the Year and 2026 Pet Subscription of the Year by the Pet Innovation Awards. The concept is expanding into new markets through franchising with an emphasis on local ownership and franchisees who want to have a presence in the communities where they operate.
