New York — Ralph Lauren Corporation has appointed Valérie Hermann to president of Ralph Lauren Luxury Collections, effective April 7. In this newly created role, Hermann will be responsible for strategy, merchandising, distribution and overall expansion of the global luxury businesses. Hermann will report directly to Ralph Lauren, chairman and CEO of Ralph Lauren Corporation, and will join the office of the chairman

Prior to joining the company, Hermann was CEO of Reed Krakoff. From 2005-2011, Hermann served as CEO of Yves Saint Laurent, now called Saint Laurent Paris. Previously, she worked in various capacities at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, including director of Women’s Ready to Wear at Dior. Hermann started her career at the Comité Colbert, the Paris-based luxury goods trade association.
The Office of the Chairman will now be comprised of: Ralph Lauren, chairman and CEO; Roger Farah, executive vice chairman; Jackwyn Nemerov, president and COO; Chris Peterson, executive vice president, chief administrative officer and CFO; and Valérie Hermann, president, Luxury Collections.
