New York, N.Y. — McAlpine Contracting, a general contracting and construction management firm active in New York, New Jersey, Vermont and Puerto Rico, has promoted Mark Montalvo to director of construction. Montalvo previously served as senior project manager. The firm specializes in retail and commercial projects.
“Since joining the company in 2005, Mark has successfully managed some of McAlpine’s most challenging projects, including numerous retail developments and fit-outs. We are excited to promote Mark and look forward to his continued contributions to the growth of our firm,” says Troy Caruso, CEO of McAlpine.
In his new position, Montalvo will be based at the company’s headquarters in Manhattan and oversee the firm’s projects throughout the Northeast. His responsibilities will include management of estimating and bids, project logistics, construction activities and close outs. He will supervise site personnel and lead interactions with clients.
Montalvo’s project portfolio exceeds $500 million in construction value. His recent projects at McAlpine include the $1 million, 7,200-square foot flagship store of the British luxury furniture brand Timothy Oulton in Manhattan; the $5 million, two-building Deer Park Shopping Center in Deer Park, N.Y.; four Walgreens pharmacies in Queens, N.Y., and Brooklyn, N.Y.; and the 31,000-square-foot Stadium Plaza strip mall in Wappinger Falls, N.Y.
