Los Angeles — Servicon Systems Inc., a leading provider of sustainable maintenance services, has named Laurie Sewell as president and CEO. Sewell already held the position of president. The company has also promoted Stacey Wong to director of sales, following 8 years of handling all aspects of Servicon’s strategic accounts.
Sewell’s and Wong’s new appointments are part of a leadership reorganization that has seen Servicon’s founder, Richard Mahdesian, become chairman emeritus. His son Michael Mahdesian has been named chairman, taking up his father’s leadership responsibilities.
“We are very pleased with these appointments, and are extremely confident that Laurie will make an excellent CEO for Servicon,” says Michael Mahdesian. “We’re also excited that Stacey will assume responsibility for growing our sales.”
“My passion is for Servicon to create the best practices in sustainability, and set the bar high for the entire industry,” Sewell says.
Sewell envisions future acquisitions of service companies in targeted sectors, with a focus on strict standards for clean rooms and other industry-specific environments. Servicon was a pioneer in completely sustainable “green cleaning.” Servicon’s Quality Assurance program was the first established with key performance indicators in the facilities maintenance industry.
Wong began her career at Servicon in June 2007, working on strategic account growth and developing the company’s sales processes, including customizing and managing client relations.
Servicon Systems, Inc., founded in 1973, is an innovative and integrated provider of sustainable facilities maintenance solutions.
